Thank you all for volunteering to coach the girls this season!
To prepare for the season NYS is arranging for all head coaches to become CPR/AED trained. We view this as a critical effort to ensure the safety of our players, coaches and NYS families.
If you have been certified in CPR/AED within the past 24 months (2 years), then you are covered. If you were certified two years ago, your certification may have lapsed.
Typical CPR/AED training is good for two years and many of you were trained two years ago. Therefore, I am reaching out to check availability for some potential dates for CPR/AED classes.
There is a cost of $50 per coach for this training, which covers the training equipment and certification documentation/card. NYS will pay this cost in full for all head coaches. Head coaches have already been notified by NYS that they have been assigned as a head coach.
Additionally, NYS is offering this training to assistant coaches. NYS is offering to pay half the training cost for assistant coaches. So the resulting cost for assistant coaches will be $25 each.
Please reply to this email (to me, not to all) letting me know your whether to are interested in attending one of these classes and if yes, what dates below work best for you. I know practices are starting
Wednesday April 17
Sunday April 28
If needed, I will explore additional dates.
The classes generally run for about 1 1/2 - 2 hours and we try to start them around 6:30 pm. Saturday/Sunday may be earlier depending all participants' availability. If this time is a problem for you, please let me know. We will schedule the classes based on what work for the most coaches.
Thank you for making yourselves available for this training.
Please let me know if you have any questions. Text, email or call.
